Objectives
– Reduce the adverse environmental impact of cities, paying special attention to the quality of air, water and soil, and municipal and other waste management;
– Access to safe, affordable, and sustainable housing, transportation and basic services;
– Integrated policies towards inclusion, resource efficiency, mitigation and adaptation to climate change and resilience to disasters

Priorities
– Tackle the urbanisation challenge and establish as a European hub for urban transition and sustainability;
– Coordinate and align related activities and actors of the participating Member States

Among financed actions
– Actions that will produce / generate knowledge for or more efficient and cost-effectiverenewable and clean energy technologies and systems;
– Actions to utilise and implement compact and manageable, safe and cost-effective energy storage and management systems
