Priorities and funded actions:

Objectives
* Provide a tangible contribution to the EU MAES initiative in order to support regional policy in overseas Europe by mobilising stakeholders, pooling resources and by demonstrating the feasibility and the added value of a bottom-up approach, involving and empowering local actors;
* Complement and expand the activities of the on-going project MOVE, strengthening links and capitalising on on-going work allowing further testing and implementation of the MAES methodology in ORs and OCTs from different regions of the world

Priorities
* Support regional biodiversity policy in overseas Europe: to involve policy-makers, researchers and civil society in the development of methodologies for mapping and assessing the state of ecosystems and their services in outermost regions (ORs) and overseas countries and territories (OCTs);
* Build on the work carried out in the frame of the NETBIOME networks and the BEST (Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services in Territories of European overseas) initiative and the IUCN Red list for ecosystem;
* Identify and analyse further case studies in specific regions on which to focus the work of dedicated teams of local experts, policymakers and civil society members pooled from across the OR and OCTs

* Actions aiming at the creation and improvement of networks, exchanges of good practices;

* This call for proposals is an open call for proposals

* Initial duration of the project: between 36 and 48 months

* Eligibility
– Be a legal person;
– Be a public or private entity;
– Be: a public or private non-profit organisation, a public authority (national, regional, local), an international organisation, a university, an educational institution, a research centre, a profit-making entity;
– Be established in an EU Member State, including EU’s Outermost Regions and Overseas Countries and Territories, or a Third Country;

– A consortium composed of at least two legal entities must be established
