Priorities and funded actions:

Objectives
* Action 1 – Pilot Project: A Europe-wide response mechanism for violation of press and media freedom:
– Provide tangible protection for journalists and encompass fact-finding, advocacy, monitoring, providing information to the European public and awareness raising

* Action 2 – Preparatory Action: cross-border investigative journalism fund:
– Sustain quality journalism and, in particular, resource-intensive investigative journalism in the current fast-evolving media landscape

* Action 3 – Pilot Project: Supporting investigative journalism and media freedom in the EU:
– Provide support to independent, collaborative journalism in the EU Member States and promote media freedom across the EU

Priorities
* Action 1 – Pilot Project: A Europe-wide response mechanism for violation of press and media freedom:
– Support the activities of one consortium of organisations working together to uphold media freedom and safety of journalists in the EU and Candidate Countries

* Action 2 – Preparatory Action: cross-border investigative journalism fund:
– Ensure independent investigations and journalistic freedom

* Action 3 – Pilot Project: Supporting investigative journalism and media freedom in the EU:
– Provide financial and practical support to stimulate quality journalism and media freedom in the EU
