The European Commission offered to mobilize € 9.8 million, in response to France’s request, from the European Globalization Adjustment Fund (EGF), to help nearly 1,900 workers made redundant by Air France, the French airline, to find a new job.
France has requested European Globalisation adjustment Fund (EGF) support following the dismissal of 1,858 workers at Air France.
The measures co-financed by the EGF will help laid-off workers to find a job by providing them with active vocational guidance services, vocational training and by contributing to job search allowances and mobility allowances. The proposal will now be submitted for approval to the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union.
