Text:

The European Commission has approved a major project in the field of research and innovation in the Czech Republic, with almost €60 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). This project, started in the 2007-2013 period, is located in Central Bohemia. It aims at equipping the Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) research centre with the latest laser systems. ELI is a pan-European research project on high-tech laser technology, with facilities in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Romania.
