After the Council approved it on 7 November, the European Parliament also voted in favor of a 3,35 million euro grant to help Italian workers from the Almaviva Contact SpA – which closed in late 2016 – to find new jobs.

This funding, mobilised through the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund, will include expenditures linked to job-search, vocational training and the reimbursement of mobility costs. 1 610 workers are eligible for this help, among which 79% of women.
