A new call for proposals under Active and Assisted Living Programme expected in February 2020

The Active and Assisted Living (AAL) association announced the launch of a new call for proposals in February 2020. This call will be focused on “Healthy Ageing through Digital Solutions and Ecosystems” and will favour the development of innovative, transnational and multi-disciplinary collaborative projects.

The AAL Call 2020 is promoting a life course approach to health and well-being and is open to developing new ICT products, associated services and their final implementation, targeting any application area(s) within the AAL domain. Proposals should not only focus on older adults but also consider the applicability of the proposed solutions to other population groups where applicable, for example, the transition phase from a working life to retirement age. The proposed solutions need to be embedded into the strategies of the participating end-user organisations, service providers and business partners.

The AAL Call 2020 allows for flexibility regarding the scope, size and duration of the proposed projects (including Small Collaborative Projects). The wishes and needs of the involved end-users in combination with the demands from the other stakeholders involved – i.e providers and payers – will have a critical role in shaping useful and attractive AAL solutions with a high market potential as well as in fostering and strengthening ecosystems supporting healthy ageing. Both “Collaborative Projects” and “Small Collaborative Projects” will still be funded through this Call.

More information will be provided with the launch of the call in February 2020.
