After nearly three years of discussions between the Commission and the region, the Commission has adopted the 2021-2027 ERDF+ ESF programme for the New Aquitaine region. The region will be the guarantor of the proper implementation of the programme, which has a budget of over €1.3 billion for the ERDF, ESF+, EAFRD and EMFAF programmes.
In addition to these European credits, the Region, the Departments, all the local authorities and the State will support numerous projects in New Caledonia in areas such as research and innovation, support for SMEs in their needs for competitiveness as well as in their digital or energy transformation projects, support for public and private energy and ecological transition projects, but also support for employment, particularly through training actions, facilitating guidance and the creation of activities.
The region particularly emphasises its support for the development of territories, which takes the form of local development led by local actors. Within this framework, local actors will form Local Action Groups which will develop a strategy based on the strengths of the territory.
The effective implementation of the Programme will take place as soon as possible. A programme launch event took place on Tuesday 4 October at the Rocher de Palmer in Cenon to present to potential beneficiaries the possibilities of support offered by European funds.
