Calendar of calls for projects to apply for in the coming months

Here’s an overview of the calls for projects under the HORIZON EUROPE and ERASMUS+ programs over the next few months. We present them to you now, so that you can prepare yourself and maximize your chances of success.

HORIZON EUROPE

Marie Sklodoswka-Curie (MSCA) Calls:

The call for projects supports the creative and innovative potential of postdoctoral researchers who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training and international, interdisciplinary and intersectoral mobility. The program also supports researchers to engage in research and innovation projects within the non-academic sector.

The call for projects supports international, interdisciplinary and cross-sector consortia – bringing together universities, research organizations, companies, etc. – to propose a collaborative project. These consortia propose a collaborative research and training project on a topic of their choice, aimed at a number of international PhD students who will be recruited as part of the project.

The call for projects supports the coordination and assistance of researchers at risk in Europe, enhancing the quality of proposals and facilitating access to funding and networks. The aim is to strengthen the professionalization and sustainability of support networks, improve preparedness at European, national and institutional levels, and raise awareness of the challenges facing these researchers.

The call for projects supports international, cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary collaboration in research and innovation, facilitating staff exchanges and knowledge sharing along the innovation chain. It fosters a common research and innovation culture that values creativity and entrepreneurship, and helps turn ideas into concrete innovations.

Cluster 5 (Climate, energy and mobility) calls:

The call for projects covers renewable energies, energy systems, networks and storage, as well as carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS). It supports the reduction of global energy demand and ensures the climate neutrality of energy supply.

The call for projects supports the EU on its path towards climate neutrality of its building stock by 2050 and supports Europe’s independence from Russian fossil fuels by 2030, by improving energy efficiency and consumption management in buildings, promoting circular construction and renovation approaches, and promoting the adoption of digital and smart solutions for better energy flexibility.

A call from the “Smart and carbon-neutral cities” mission:

The aim of the call for projects is to support the EU’s mission on smart and carbon-neutral cities, which is to create 100 smart and climate-neutral cities by 2030 and to ensure that these cities serve as centres of experimentation and innovation to enable all European cities to do the same by 2050.

ERASMUS+

The following calls for projects will close on October 1, 2024:

Key action number 1: Mobility of individuals in the field of youth.

  • Mobility projects for young people – youth exchanges

Under this action, organizations and informal groups of young people are supported in carrying out projects bringing together young people from different countries to enable them to exchange and learn outside their formal education system.

  • Mobility projects for youth workers

Under this action, organizations receive support to carry out projects involving one or more learning activities aimed at ensuring the professional development and capacity-building of youth workers and their organizations.

  • Youth participation activities

This action supports activities organized outside formal education and training that encourage, promote and facilitate the participation of young people in European democratic life at local, regional, national and European levels.

  • DiscoverEU Inclusion Action

Informal youth organizations and groups are supported in carrying out projects that enable young people with fewer opportunities to participate in DiscoverEU. This initiative offers young people aged 18 and over the chance to gain short-term individual or group travel experience throughout Europe by rail or other modes of transport if required.

Key Action 2: Cooperation between organizations and institutions.

  • Cooperation partnerships in the field of youth except for those submitted by European NGO’s
    • Grant amount: choice between 120,000, 250,000 or 400,000 euros

Priority is given to actions that contribute to the key areas of the EU youth strategy for 2019-2027: mobilizing, connecting and empowering young people. Emphasis is placed on strengthening cross-sectoral cooperation enabling greater synergies between the different areas of action that matter to young people, promoting youth participation at different scales and in different formats, and promoting the active citizenship of young people, especially those at risk of social exclusion.

  • Small-scale partnerships in the fields of school education, vocational education and training, adult education and youth
    • Grant amount: choice between 30,000 and 60,000 euros

Simplified partnership projects are designed to enable first-time applicants, less-experienced organizations and small-scale players to give impetus to European cooperation. They should enable exchanges of practice and peer-to-peer learning to support the development, transfer or implementation of innovative educational methods.
