Priorities and funded actions:

Objectives
* To increase exports of high quality products and services from Vietnam to the EU, with a focus on SME internationalisation and sustainable business practices

Priorities
* Lot 1: Promotion of environmentally and socially responsible practices among Vietnamese exporters;
* Lot 2: Internationalisation of Vietnamese SMEs

Among financed actions
* Lot 1: Promotion of environmentally and socially responsible practices among Vietnamese exporters
– Actions that promote improvements along the supply chain to meet standards as expected by EU markets
– Actions that promote the adoption of improved quality management systems for export-oriented industries
– Actions that promote the marketing of socially and/or environmentally responsible products by Vietnamese exporters

* Lot 2: Internationalisation of Vietnamese SMEs
– Actions that promote linkages between European owned FDI in Vietnam and local suppliers
– Actions that strengthen contacts between Vietnamese SMEs and European buyers/distributors for high quality products
– Upgrading market research capacity among Vietnamese SMEs exporting to the EU
– Actions to promote Vietnamese SMEs’ knowledge of rules of origin and capacity to comply with EVFTA requirements

Additional information
* This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In the first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated

* Initial duration of the action: between 24 and 36 months

* Eligibility:
– Be a legal person;
– Be non-profit-making;
– Be a business association, an academic institution, a local authority, a Non-Governmental Organisation or an International Organisation as defined in Article 43 of the Rules of application of the EU Financial Regulation;
– Be established in Vietnam or in a Member State of the European Union, or in a country as stipulated in Article 9 of Regulation (EU) No 236/2014. This obligation does not apply to international organisations;
– Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary;
– One of the applicants (lead applicant and/or one co-applicant) must have had a presence in Vietnam for at least 3 years at the time the call for proposals is launched. This obligation does not apply to international organisations

* Actions must take place primarily in Vietnam. Some activities may take place in the European Union or elsewhere if duly justified
