Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To support cybersecurity resilience in healthcare and health institutions, which have been put under particular stress over the recent years, especially further to the COVID-19 crisis, in view of limiting the damage of safety-critical cybersecurity incidents which have affected hospitals and health services providers
  • To improve the cybersecurity capabilities of healthcare and health institutions across the EU, including cybersecurity services and products, skills and training, awareness raising, and exchange of information among others

Priorities

  • Priority 1: Implementation of objectives and requirements under the NIS Directive in relation to the health sector
  • Priority 2: Adoption in healthcare and health institutions, and in particular SMEs, of tools, methods, organisational and management practices dedicated to cybersecurity. Also, the exchange of information between peers
  • Priority 3: Electronic ID (eID) and data management solutions contributing to data security in healthcare and health institutions
  • Priority 4: Cybersecurity education, awareness and skills development in healthcare and health institutions

Among financed actions

  • Adoption of market-ready innovative cybersecurity solutions
  • Up to date tools for healthcare and health institutions (in particular SMEs) to protect themselves against cyber threats
  • Data sharing in view to improve security collectively

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: 24 months

Eligibility

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies)
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries
Financement
  • Total budget of  the call: 43 million euro
  • Total budget of the topic: 10 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: 3 million euro
  • Co-financing rate: between 50% and 75%
