In the framework of the "Start Cup Puglia 2020" (the competition that aims to discover new entrepreneurial realities in Southern Italy by supporting their business idea with prizes, financial support and business development strategies), the #ConnectingMatters prize will be awarded and will reward the most interesting project in the field of raw materials.

Objectives
* To support entrepreneurs driving innovation along the entire raw materials value chain
* The #ConnectingMatters prize will be awarded to the start-up presenting the most interesting project in the field of raw materials.
Priorities
* To respond to the following issues:
1. Exploration and raw materials resource assessment
2. Mining in challenging environments
3. Increased resource efficiency in mineral and metallurgical processe
4. Substitution of critical and toxic materials in products for optimised performance
5. Recycling and material chain optimisation of end-of-life products
6. Design of products and services for the circular economy
Additional Information
* Eligibility:
– aspiring entrepreneurs, individually or in groups, who intend to create an innovative company in Puglia;
– innovative enterprises in Puglia:
> which have been created after 1 January 2020;
> or already established in 2019, but who have declared the start of activities after 1 January 2020;
or already established in 2019, but have not yet declared the start of activities after 1 January 2020; > or established in 2019, but have not yet declared the start of activities.
– In all three cases, applicants must designate a natural person as contact person for the project.
* Prize Amount: 3000 euros
