This morning the Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Creţu welcomed the journalists participating in the European Week of Regions and Cities 2018, together with the Chairman of the Committee of the Regions Karl-Heinz Lambertz, and presented to them his vision for the future programs of Cohesion policy

The Commissioner has expressed the wish to have a more modern policy, focused on priorities such as the modernisation of the economy and the energy transition. Then, she announced three main directions: a smarter, greener Europe closer to citizens.

This presentation announces new programs for Europe that will be added to the ERDF or the ESF.
