EU funds mobilized in favor of the economic recovery in Île-de-France

Thanks to the increased flexibility of the rules governing the use of European funds by the European Union, the Île-de-France region is planning to mobilise the ERDF and the ESF to support a major economic recovery plan.

The new regulations adopted by the European Parliament enable the Region to mobilise more of the European funds it manages to help the companies most affected by the Covid-19 crisis (notably through loans) but also health and scientific research.

The Region’s Directorate of European Affairs has already introduced measures to make the management of operations financed by European funds managed by the Region more flexible. The main aim is to propose:

  • Advances to companies benefiting from the ERDF and the ESF for operations launched recently,
  • Possibilities of prolongation and extension for projects supported by the ERDF and the ESF.

In order to avoid the financial difficulties that private structures might experience, the Region will make advances systematically available on simple request, accompanied by a project start-up certificate.
