On Friday 3 April the High Representative announced a package will be launched to help Africa face the pandemic.
The EU has been working during these last days in order to put together all its resources to redirect them towards the fight against coronavirus in many fragile African countries.
Joseph Borell, the High Reprensative for Foreign Affairs, called for a meeting of the Ministers of development next week. He wants to develop an aid package for African countries with the resources of the EU institutions and the Member States. He announced that the Next Development Council will create a “European Union plus Member States” package to face it.
