European Policy Day: Innovating with Nature
The European Commission DG Research & Innovation together with the EU-funded OpenNESS and OPERAs projects oragnises the European policy day on ‘Innovating with Nature: Natural Capital and Ecosystem Services for Sustainable EU Policies’ on 1 March 2016 in Brussels.
The policy day aims to demonstrate the strong role nature plays in tackling current global challenges, and the critical contributions of natural capital and ecosystem services research to sustainable EU policies.
The morning session will be devoted to reviewing practical case studies on natural capital and ecosystem services and how these relate to different EU policies and challenges. Lunch will be held at DG RTD and you are invited to meet with the science teams during the afternoon to dig deeper into specific science-policy questions.
The policy day will be held at the Royal Academies of Science and the Arts of Belgium, in the morning and at EC-CDMA building in the afternoon.
Please register before 22 February 2016. Since this is an invitation-only event and seats are limited, register only if you are sure to attend. The conference is free of charge but participants will have to cover their own travel and accommodation costs.
