H2020: Consultation on “Factories of the Future”

EFFRA has launched a consultation on the fine-tuning of the ‘Factories of the Future 2020’ and the identification of priorities for the Work Programme 2016-2017.

This consultation is an opportunity for stakeholders to shape the priorities of the ‘Factories of the Future’ public-private partnership, in particular the Work Programme which will contain the 2016 and 2017 call topics.

The consultation is available through the EFFRA Innovation Portal.

Essential Information

The deadline for contributions is 15 June 2014.

The consultation is essentially requesting participants to indicate the research priorities from the ‘Factories of the Future 2020’ roadmap that, according to their opinion, should be used to compile the call topics for the ‘Factories of the Future’ 2016-2017 work programme. Participants can do this as follows:

Rate the research priorities on a scale from 100 (very important) to 0 (not relevant). We recommend that you identify and rate a maximum of 20 research priorities. Comment on the research priorities that you have rated. These comments should explain why you chose and rated that topic. Comment on whether the actions needed are ‘research & innovation’ actions or ‘innovation actions’ (considering that an innovation action are closer to industrial implementation with a funding rate of 70% compared to a funding rate of 100% for research and innovation actions). Participants should also comment on their preference in the comment box.

Although it is preferable to have one consolidated contribution per organisation, more than one person can contribute within one organisation. Multiple entries per organisation will be regrouped in the processing of the contributions, where the maximum rating for a research priority will be taking into account.
