The Commission announced on the 16th April 13 million euros of humanitarian aids for projects supporting most vulnerable people affected by the hostilies and, at the same time, to adress the coronavirus outbreak. 

The funding will help repair buildings damaged by the conflict, such as schools and health facilities, and provide basic needs such as education and water.

The EU consistently calls for unimpeded access for the humanitarian organizations providing support on the ground to the non-government-controlled areas.
