The France (Channel) England 2014-2020 Cross-Border programme announces the opening of its fourth call for projects on the 13th of September; the closing date will be the 13th of 2016 12 noon English time (1pm French time).
Managed by the Norfolk County Council, the France (Channel) England cross-border programme covers the South and East Coasts of England from Cornwall to Norfolk, and the North Coast of France from Finistère to Pas-de-Calais.
The France (Channel) England cross-border programme has 3 Priorities divided into 5 Specific Objectives organised as follows:
1. Support Innovation in order to address the economic and societal issues facing the France (Channel) England Area
1.1 – To increase the delivery and uptake of innovative products, processes, systems and services in shared smart specialisation sectors.
1.2 – Increase the quality and the effectiveness of service delivery to the most socially and economically disadvantaged groups through social innovation.
2. Support the transition to a low-carbon economy in the France (Channel) England Area
2.1 Increase the development and uptake of existing or new low-carbon technologies in the sectors that have the highest potential for a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
3. Enhance the attractiveness of the territories of the France (Channel) England Area
3.1- Realise the potential of the common natural and cultural assets to deliver innovative and sustainable growth.
3.2 – Enhance and protect the coastal and transitional water ecosystems.
Please note:
Projects are strongly encouraged to notify the Joint Secretariat of their intention to submit an application at least one week before the call opens, in order for the Secretariat to plan and manage the agendas of the contacts in the best way possible.
Access to the online management system of the programme will be provided to applicants once the call is open and they have communicated all the necessary information to contact their local facilitator.
The minimal eligibility criteria for a project application is that the partnership involves at least one partner from England and one partner from France, both based in the eligible geographic area of the programme.
The co- financing rate of this call for projects will be 69%.
