Almost one billion euros will be devoted from the second half of 2020 to new “Green Deal” calls under the Horizon 2020 programme.

The new European Commission has placed at the centre of its mission the Green Deal project, which aims to make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. 

To give itself the means to achieve its ambitions, the European Commission will devote nearly one billion euros to a new “Green Deal” call as part of the Horizon 2020 programme. 

In addition to technology development and demonstration, this call will support experimentation and social innovation to develop new ways to involve civil society and enable producers and consumers to make more sustainable choices.
