Due to Partnership Agreement between Slovenia and the Commission, €3.26 billion will be allocated to enable Slovenia to meet these environmental targets and tackle the country’s regional disparities by boosting innovation and competitiveness.
In details, €806 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Cohesion Fund to support a greener, low-carbon transition to a resilient, carbon-neutral economy. €249 million from the Just Transition Fund (FTJ) will support an energy transition away from coal by 2023. €727 million from the ERDF will be invested in research and innovation for the business sector and more than €511 million from the ERDF and the Cohesion Fund will support sustainable and intelligent mobility and address gaps in the public passenger transport sector.
€769 million from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) and the ERDF to address long-term unemployment and the ageing population. €23.9 million from the European Fund for Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Aquaculture (EFAFAFA) will be allocated to investments in sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, conservation of marine biodiversity and protection of marine ecosystems in the Adriatic.
