The EPP Cohesion Monitoring Group presents the European Bauhaus “in practice” in a speech on 3 May 2022.

This European Parliament group explains that 19 Member States have already included the New European Bauhaus in their partnership agreements, adopted or under discussion with the European Commission.

The next step is to integrate the New European Bauhaus into the main operational programs, affecting rural and urban areas, cultural activities as well as support to enterprises and SMEs.

The group encourages managing authorities to “think Bauhaus” when implementing projects: how can we provide a positive experience for the local population? Why not co-design the projects with local architects and artists? Or discuss them with neighboring communities?

Finally, he goes back to what is planned for the future: a specific call for innovative urban actions and a collaboration between the European Investment Bank and the Commission with the launch of a financial instrument dedicated to the New European Bauhaus.
