Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To promote cross-border cooperation between Member States in the field of planning, development and the cost-effective exploitation of renewable energy sources

Priorities

  • Priority 1: to enable CB-RES projects which have significant socio-economic benefits to be implemented, within the framework of the renewable energy sector and in particular to support cross-border cooperation in the field of renewable energy
  • Priority 2: to support and contribute to the implementationof CB RES projects

Among financed actions

  • Preparatory, mapping, feasibility, evaluation, testing and validation studies, including in the form of software, and any other technical support measure, including prior action to define and develop a cross-border RES project
  • Exploration of the sites concerned and preparation of the financial package

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. This call for proposals is open only to the projects selected for the CB RES list
  • Initial duration of the action: up to 31.12.2028

Eligibility

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies)
  • Be established in one of the EU Member States or in countries associated to the CEF Programme
  • Proposals shall either be submitted by one or more Member States or have the agreement of the Member States concerned as expressed through the letter of support
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 30 million euro
  • Total budget of the topic “CEF-E-2022-CBRENEW-STUDIES”: projects of any budget are admitted
  • Amount of the grant: projects of any budget are admitted
  • Co-financing rate: between 50 and 70% of the total eligible costs
