Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To modernise transport infrastructure on the Core and Comprehensive Networks of the TEN-T.

Priorities

  • Priority 1: to establish major interoperable transport axes interconnecting national networks and facilitating the functionning of the internal market;
  • Priority 2: to optimally use existing infrastructure capacities;
  • Priority 3: to improve the safety and reliability of the network;
  • Priority 3: to foster cohesion and cross-border mobility;
  • Priority 4: to enhance accessibility to peripheral areas of the Union;
  • Priority 5: to enhance an integrated multimodal approach aiming at shifting a considerable part of transport that currently takes place by road towards more sustainable transport modes;
  • Priority 6: to increase the capacity and performance of rail, inland waterways and short sea shipping infrastructure;
  • Priority 7: to contribute to a more balanced modal distribution;
  • Priority 8: to reduce the negative environmental impacts of transport, in particular as regards GHG emissions.

Among financed action

  • Studies and works to improve accessibility for all users, especially for passengers with reduced mobility;
  • Actions located in an urban node of the Core Network in line with Annex II part 1;
  • Actions allowing for the connection with available long-distance tarnsport modes.

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals.

Eligibility

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies);
  • Be established in one of the Member States eligible for funding from the Cohesion Fund.
Financement
  • Amount of the grant: 25 million euro
  • Co-financing rate: up to 60%
