Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To protect, promote and raise awareness of fundamental rights and of EU values by supporting local, regional and/or national civil society organisations and increasing their capacity
  • To select and support a limited number of intermediaries in EU Member States, capable of building the capacities of a large number of CSOs active at local, regional and/or national level in the fields covered by the CERV programme, including through providing them with financial support

Priorities

  • Priority 1: To strengthen the capacity and resilience of CSOs to protect and promote Union values including democracy and the respect of the rule of law
  • Priority 2: To support CSOs in their efforts to protect, promote and raise awareness on fundamental rights and democratic values
  • Priority 3: To support dialogue, transparency, and good governance, also in cases where space for civil society is shrinking

  • Financial support to third parties (CSOs) by intermediaries
  • Capacity building for CSOs by intermediaries

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals.
  • Initial duration of the action: between 36 and 48 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a public or private entity
  • Be a non-profit making entity
  • Be a civil society organisation
  • A consortium composed of at least 1 applicant must be constituted
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 74.500.000 euro
  • Total budget of the topic: 74.500.000 euro
  • Amount of the grant: between 2.5 million euro and 6 million euro
  • Co-financing rate: up to 90% of the total eligible costs
