Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To protect, promote and raise awareness of rights by providing financial support to civil society organisations which are active at local, regional, national and transnational level
  • To support several EU policy initiatives, including: European democracy action plan, Communication on a more inclusive and protective Europe

  • Priority 1: promoting rights and values by empowering the civic space

  • Analytical activities and creation of a methodology to monitor the civic space in EU Member States
  • Mutual learning, exchange of good practices
  • Communication activities
  • Capacity building in civil society organisations on monitoring the civic space
  • Developments of tools and services
  • Development of synergies among the actors

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: between 12 and 24 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person (public or private entity)
  • For lead applicants: be non-profit legal entities (private bodies)
  • For co-applicants: be non-profit or legal entities (public or private bodies)
  • Proposals must be submitted by a consortium of at least 1 applicant
  • Transnational partnerships with mutual learning possibilities for partners in several EU Member States are particularly encouraged to apply, as well as networks of relevant actors at national level such as National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs), Equality bodies, Ombuds-institution and the national Charter Focal Points
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 16 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: at least 75 000 euro
  • Co-financing rate: up to 90% of the total eligible costs
