Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

To promote an enabling environment allowing Lao CSOs to better contribute to the development of the Lao PDR
To promote a stronger voice and participation of Lao CSOs throughout the policy cycles
To promote alliance-building and networking to amplify the collective voice of Lao civil society

Priorities

Priority 1: Contribute to green and inclusive economic growth in the Lao PDR
Priority 2: Reinforce the technical capacities of the Lao CSOs to promote Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) and Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) with a spcial focus on youth and women

Among financed actions

Facilitate Lao CSOs, Youth and Women Groups to improve know-how transferring, and interaction between them and / or Local Authorities
Support participation of Lao CSOs Youth and Women Groups in policy processes and implementation at local and central levels
Actions promoting green business or raising awarness on topic such as pollution, waste, greenhouse gas emission, sustainable tourism
Actions promoting innovative agriculture practices, organic farming and deforestation-free agriculture
Financial support to third parties

Additional information

This call for proposals a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated
Initial duration of the action: between 36 and 48 months

Eligibility

Be a legal person
Be non-profit making
Be civil society organisation
Be established in one of the eligible countries
Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
The lead applicant must act with at least one co-applicant legally established in Lao PDR

Financement

Total budget of the call: 3 million euro
Total budget of the topic:
- Sustainable Consumption and Production: 1.5 million euro
- Climate Smart Agriculture: 1.5 million euro
Amount of the grant: between 1.3 million and 1.5 million euro
Co-financing rate:
- Up to 50% of the total eligible costs
- 90% of the total eligible costs if the applicants are established in Lao PDR
- 80% of the total eligible costs if the applicants are established in other eligible countries
