Priorities and funded actions

Objective

To promote cross-sectoral activities that aim at adjusting to the structural and technological changes faced by the media, including enhancing a free, diverse, and pluralistic media environment, quality journalism and media, literacy including in the digital environment.

Priorities

  • Priority 1: to help the wider European news media sector become more sustainable and resilient, specifically by supporting cross-border media collaborations
  • Priority 2: to protect news media sectors of special relevance to democracy and civic participation, such as local and regional media, community media, investigative journalism and organisations delivering public interest news

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals.
  • Initial duration of the action: up to 24 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a public or private entity
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 11 million euro
  • Amount per topics:
    • CREA-CROSS-2024-JOURPART-COLLABORATIONS: 6 million euro
    • CREA-CROSS-2024-JOURPART-PLURALISM: 5 million euro
  • Amount of the grant per topics:
    • CREA-CROSS-2024-JOURPART-COLLABORATIONS: up to 2 million per project
    • CREA-CROSS-2024-JOURPART-PLURALISM: up to 3 million per project
  • Co-financing rate:
    • For Topic 1 CREA-CROSS-2024-JOURPART-COLLABORATIONS: 80% of the total eligible costs
    • For Topic 2 CREA-CROSS-2024-JOURPART-PLURALISM: 90% of the total eligible costs
