Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • Strengthening the transnational circulation and diversity of European literary works
  • Reaching new audiences
  • Encouraging the translation and promotion of works of fiction written in lesser-used languages to increase their circulation to larger markets in Europe and beyond
  • Strengthening the competitiveness of the book sector by encouraging cooperation within the book value chain

Among financed actions

Translation, promotion and distribution of literary works of fiction as well as activities to help the sales of translation rights in Europe and beyond.

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: 36 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a public or private entity
  • Applicants must have had a legal existence for at least 2 years on the date of the deadline for submission of applications
  • Applicants must be active in the publishing and book sector
Financement
  • Amount of the grant:
    • up to 100,000 euro for small-scale projets
    • up to 200,000 euro for medium-scale projects
    • up to 300,000 euro for large scale projects
  • Co-financing rate: up to 60% of the total eligible costs
