Objectives

  • To foster the competitiveness of European independent production companies and to increase their economic weight on the market
  • To increase the capacity of audiovisual producers to develop projects with the potential to circulate throughout Europe and beyond, and to facilitate European and international coproduction

  • Priority 1: To foster the competitiveness of European independent production companies and to increase their economic weight on the market
  • Priority 2: To increase the capacity of audiovisual producers to develop projects with potential to circulate throughout Europe and beyond, and to facilitate European and international co-production.

Among financed actions

European production companies able to develop a slate of 3 to 5 audiovisual works (fiction, animation, creative documentary).

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: 36 months

Eligibility

  • Be legal entities
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries
  • Be established in one of the countries participating fully in the MEDIA Strand of the Creative Europe Programme and be owned directly or indirectly, wholly or by majority participation, by nationals from such countries; for publicly listed companies, the location of the stock exchange will in principle determine its nationality
  • Be independent European audiovisual production companies that can demonstrate recent experience in producing internationally distributed works
  • Only applications by single applicants are allowed (single beneficiaries)
Financement
  • Total budget of the topic “European slate development” : 18 million euro
  • Amount of the grant : Between 10,000 and 100,000 euro
