Objectives
* To support the participation and capacity building of Haitian youth as key actors in governance, development and the promotion of human rights
Priorities
* Promote the participation and capacity building of young people to better contribute to public debate and the formulation and monitoring of public policies, in particular on issues of civic and democratic participation, environmental protection and the fight against climate change, digitalisation, food security, health, etc. * Promote the participation and capacity building of young people to better contribute to public debate and the formulation and monitoring of public policies, in particular on issues of civic and democratic participation, environmental protection and the fight against climate change, digitalisation, food security, health, etc.
* Improving the employability of young people through non-formal education, vocational training, guidance, innovation and entrepreneurship (incubators), etc. ;
* Promote young people’s access to sexual and reproductive health and rights;
* Promote the participation and capacity building of organizations working for the respect of LGBT rights;
* Support youth actions aimed at peace, conflict resolution, social cohesion and raising awareness of major contemporary issues such as environmental protection (mediation and promotion of dialogue at the local and community level, cultural activities, etc.); * Support youth actions aimed at peace, conflict resolution, social cohesion and raising awareness of major contemporary issues such as environmental protection (mediation and promotion of dialogue at the local and community level, cultural activities, etc.);
* Strengthen the resilience of young people and their organizations in the face of stress and shock events by reinforcing the link between humanitarian and development actions in the post-VIDC-19 context
Among the actions financed
* Raising awareness;
* Advocacy;
* Capacity building;
* Non-formal training;

Additional information
* This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In the first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated
* Initial duration fo the action: between 24 and 48 months
* Eligibility:
– To be a legal entity;
– Be non-profit;
– Belong to one of the following categories of organisations: non-governmental organisation, foundation, international (intergovernmental) organisation as defined in Article 156 of the Financial Regulation of the European Union and ;
– Be established in Haiti, for at least three years, or in a Member State of the European Union, or in one of the eligible countries;
– Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and the affiliated entity or entities, and not act as an intermediary; and
– Have carried out at least one action targeting at least one of the priorities identified in the last five years;
– Demonstrate at least one experience of managing grants totalling approximately 60% of the maximum grant requested.
* Action must take place in Haiti
* Amount of the grant: between 200,000 euros and 600,000 euros
* Co-financing rate :
– From 50% of the total eligible cost
– Up to 75 % of the total eligible costs of the action in the case of a proposal submitted by a main applicant which is a civil society organisation established in a Member State of the European Union or in an eligible country other than Haiti
– Up to 90% of the total eligible costs of the action in the case of a proposal submitted by a main applicant which is a civil society organisation established in Haiti
