Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

More EU citizens, including youth, have a critical understanding of interdependent world as well as of their own role in it and have the interest to act for sustainable development
More EU citizens, including youth, engaged in sustainable development on local and global level
Global Citizenship Education is better integrated into formal and non-formal education in EU Member States

Priorities

Priority 1: actions engaging EU citizens in global sustainable development and responses to global challenges
Priority 2: actions engaging young EU citizens and young people living in partner countries in joint initiatives
Priority 3: actions with a focus on supporting initiatives implemented through financial support to third parties
Priority 4: actions with focus on formal, informal and non-formal Development Education actions
Priority 5: actions by Local Auhorities

Among financed actions

Raise awarness among EU citizens: campaign, advocacy initiatives, citizen mobilisation
Actions building links between youn EU citizens and young people living in partners countries
Development education in the formal school system or action outside the formal education system
Financial support to third parties

Additional informations

This call of proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated
Initial duration of the action: between 36 and 48 months

Eligibility

Priorities 1,2, 3, 4 and 5:
- Be a legal person
- Be established in a Member State of the EU
- Be directly responsible for the preparation and the management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies)
- At least 3 years of activities in the field of development education and awarness raising, and / or global learning
- Applicants must act with 2 co-applicants
Priorities 1, 2, 3 4:
- Be a non-profit-making
- Be a Civil Society Organisation (CSO) or an association of CSOs
Priority 5:
- Be a Local Authority

Financement

Total budget of the call : 93.59 million euros
Total amount of the topic :
- Priority 1: 20 million euros
- Priority 2: 10 million euros
- Priority 3: 24.59 million euros
- Priority 4: 19 million euros
- Priority 5: 20 million euros
Amount of the grant:
- Priority 1 and 3: between 5 million and 10 million euros
- Priority 2, 4, 5: between 3 million and 7 million euros
Co-financing rate: between 70% and 90% of the total eligible costs
