The Digital Europe 2021-2027 programme aims to support and accelerate the digital transformation of the European economy, industry and society, to bring its benefits to citizens, public administrations and businesses across the Union, and to improve the competitiveness of Europe in the global digital economy while contributing to bridging the digital divide across the Union and reinforcing the Union’s strategic autonomy, through holistic, cross-sectoral and cross-border support and a stronger Union contribution.

Priorities and funded actions

Objective

  • To contribute to the further development of the common European mobility data space announced in the Data Strategy and in the Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy, built and operated in full compliance with existing EU legislation in the mobility and transport sectors.

Priority

  • To support the creation of a technical infrastructure combined with governance mechanisms that will facilitate easy, cross-border access to key data resources in this area, on the basis of and in full alignment with existing and upcoming mobility and transport initiatives (some of which are regulated) that are organising the sharing of data for both passengers and freight in the domains and become an integral part of the emerging European data and cloud services infrastructure.

Among financed actions

  • Inventory of existing platforms sharing data relevant for mobility;
  • An analysis regarding gaps and overlaps of data, and identifying potential common building blocks, feeding into the Commission preparatory work establishing the mobility data space.

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals.
  • Initial duration of the action: 12 months.

Eligibility 

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies);
  • A consortium composed of at least 3 independant entities, established in at least 3 different eligible countries must be constituted.
Financement
  • Total amount of the call: 140 million euro
  • Total amount for this topic: 1 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: 1 million euro
  • Co-funding rate: up to 100% of the total eligible costs
