Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

To train future HPC specialists to acquire the necessary advanced digital skills needed for the deployment of a specific technology, by providing traineeships in either an HPC competence centre, companies or SMEs using HPC systems or EuroHPC Hosting Entities

Priorities

Priority 1: ‘on the job’ training

Among financed actions

Create and design traineeship opportunities within their organisations
Provide funding for traineeships and bursaries for the trainees
Provide each trainee with a end of traineeship EuroHPC certificate

Additional information

This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
Initial duration of the action: 48 months

Eligibility

Be a legal person (public or private entity) established in one of the eligible countries
A consortium composed of at least 3 entities, established in at least 3 different EU Member States or associated countries to the programme must be constituted
Projects involving EU classified information must undergo security scrutiny to authorise funding and may be made subject to specific security rules
Eligible trainees must:
- be under 40 years old
- willing to work in Europe
- have a proven interest in HPC technologies and applications
- be prepared to do a traineeship in English
The number of traineeships organised by the consortium (target is to implement at least 50 traineeships per year for the 4 year duration of the action)

Financement

Total budget of the topic: 5 million euro
Amount of the grant: up to 5 million euro
Co-financing rate: up to 100% of the total eligible costs
