Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To develop innovative, sustainable, secure and cross-border cloud-to-edge based service
  • To be the first actual concrete implementations and deployments of the middleware platform and its different open source middleware solutions
  • To deploy additional and innovative cloud-to-edge services

Priorities

  • Priority 1: edge cybersecurity services
  • Priority 2: highly secured, low latency local edge services
  • Priority 3: ultra-secure and ethical standards compliant data management
  • Priority 4: predictive analytics and data visualisation services
  • Priority 5: edge-cloud native multi-tenancy

Among financed actions

  • Deployment of EU-wide common data space
  • Reinforcement of European supply of resilient, competitive, distributed, green and secure cloud-to-edge based services
  • Delivering an easier  and wider access, shorter time-to-delivery and higher sustainability of public and commercial services supplied

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposal
  • Initial duration of the action: between 24 and 36 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a public or private entity
  • A consortium composed of at least 3 entities, established in at least 3 different EU Member States or associated countries to the programme must be constituted
    • The consortium may include partners from the public sector, cloud providers, cloud users, NRENs industrial associtions, SMEs
    • At least 1 relevant industrial partner linked with the sector the pilot is adressing (health, mobility, common data space etc.) should be included
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 118 million euro
  • Total budget of the topic: 40 million euro
  • Total amount of the grant: between 8 and 10 million euro
  • Co-financing rate: up to 50% of the total eligible costs
