Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • Development of trust and confidence between Member States
  • Effective operational cooperation of organisations entrusted with EU or Member State’s national level Cybersecurity
  • Better security and notification processes and means for Operators of Essential Services and for digital service providers in the EU
  • Improved security of network and information system in the EU
  • More alignment and harmonisation of Member States’ implementations of the NIS Directive

Priorities

  • Priority 1: implementation, piloting and deployment of technologies, tools and IT-based solutions, processes and methods for monitoring, preventing and detecting cybersecurity incidents
  • Priority 2: collaboration, communication, knowledge exchanges
  • Priority 3: twinning scheme involving adopter and originator organisations from at least 2 different Member States
  • Priority 4: strengthen supplier’s ability in the cybersecurity area

Amoung financed actions

  • Actions that limit damage of cybersecurity incidents while reducing the overall costs of cybersecurity of individual Member States to make cross-border relationships more effective in preventing and detecting cyber security risks
  • Improvement of compliance with the NIS Directive
  • Cooperation, preparation and resilience of cybersecurity in the EU

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: 36 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a public or private entity which play a central role in the implementation of the NIS Directive
  • Be established in an EU Member States
  • A consortium composed of at least 3 entities must be constituted
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 176.5 million euro
  • Total budget of the topic: 20 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: between 1 and 5 million euro
  • Co-financing rate: between 50% to 75% (for SMEs) of the total eligible costs
