Priorities and funded actions
Objective
To enhance detection performance (such as range, sensitivity, resolution) of sensor systems to detect low signature targets, in the modern three-dimensional operational environment while maintaining covert operation, without exposing presence, identity and location
Priorities
- Priority 1: considered sensors may be electro-optical/infrared, radiofrequency and/or acoustic sensors, not excluding innovative sensor concepts. They must be passive or low-observable active. The topic covers the enhancement of individual sensors as well as their interplay
- Priority 2: the sensors’ integration and interoperability with other sensors (networks) and connection to battlefield management systems must be addressed
- Priority 3: to address the optimization of available sensor resources in order to achieve optimum surveillance results. Proposals should also address aspects of efficient data exploitation and data fusion close to the data source
Among financed actions
- Activities that aim to create, underpin and improve knowledge, products and technologies
- Activities that aim to increase interoperability and resilience, including secured production and exchange of data
- Design of a defence product, tangible or intangible component or technology
Additional information
- This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
- Initial duration of the action: between 12 and 48 months
- The grant amount will be fixed in the grant agreement
Eligibility
