Objectives

To solve the current technical challenges
To increase the maturity of the critical components required to develop a medium calibre electromagnetic artillery system
To explore radical game-changing concepts, that combine increased performance and safety on the battlefield and that cannot be achieved with conventional (chemical) propellants and launchers

Priorities

Prioritiy 1: to work on the critical components
Priority 2: to make progress on their maturity, especially for the pulsed power supply

Among financed actions

Activities that aim to create, underpin and improve knowledge, products and technologies, including disruptive technologies
Activities that aim to increase interoperability and resilience, including secured production and exchange of data, to master critical defence technologies, to strengthen the security of supply or to enable the effective exploitation of results for defence products and technologies
System prototyping of a defence product, tangible or intangible component or technology
Design of a defence product, tangible or intangible component or technology as well as the definition of the technical specifications on which such design has been developed, including partial tests for risk reduction in an industrial or representative environment

This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated
Initial duration of the action: between 12 and 48 months

Eligibility

Be a legal person
Be established in one of the eligible countries
Be a consortium composed of at least 2 independant entities from at least 2 different eligible countries

Financement

Total budget of the call: 40 million euro
Total budget of the topic: 15 million euro
Amount of the grant: maximum 15 million euro
Co-financing rate: between 20 and 100%
