Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

To develop an affordable constellation of small satellites, including its ground segments able to handle various types of sensor payloads
To pave the way towards a collective and concerted approach regarding a future operational European Earth observation capability for ISR applications

Priorities

Priority 1: to define the overall architecture of the constellation, with particular attention to miniaturization, responsiveness, affordability, and complementarity with on-going EU and national projects
Priority 2: to develop the associated components (sensors, platforms, ground segments and other key sub-systems)
Priority 3: to address the challenge of ensuring that the proposed solution can be adapted to various forms of cooperation

Among financed actions

Activities that aim to create, underpin and improve knowledge, products and technologies
Activities that aim to increase interoperability and resilience, including secured production and exchange of data
Design of a defence product, tangible or intangible component or technology

Additional information

This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
Initial duration of the action: between 12 and 48 months
The grant amount will be fixed in the grant agreement

Eligibility

Be a legal person
Be established in one of the eligible countries
Be a consortium composed of at least 3 independant entities from at least 3 different eligible countries

Financement

Total budget of the call: 510 million euro
Total budget of the topic: 40 million euro
Co-financing rate: between 20 and 100%
