Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

To pave the way towards a future European responsive space system able to place small satellites in various types of orbits within a short notice
To address specific operational needs, including tactical ones, and capability gaps stemming from shortage, failures and damages of existing space assets

Priorities

Priority 1: to define the concept of operations (CONOPS) of such a responsive space system
Priority 2: to identify and compare suitable and affordable architectures and solutions for the end-to-end system
Priority 3: to address collaborative defence research on the CONOPS and architecture of a responsive space system composed of a launch infrastructure, launch vehicles and spacecraft, concepts as well as the ground segments and stations needed to operate the launcher and the satellite/payload

Among financed actions

Activities that aim to create, underpin and improve knowledge, products and technologies
Activities that aim to increase interoperability and resilience, including secured production and exchange of data
Design of a defence product, tangible or intangible component or technology

Additional information

This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
Initial duration of the action: between 12 and 48 months
The grant amount will be fixed in the grant agreement

Eligibility

Be a legal person
Be established in one of the eligible countries
Be a consortium composed of at least 3 independant entities from at least 3 different eligible countries

Financement

Total budget of the call: 270 million euro
Total budget of the topic: 20 million euro
Co-financing rate: between 20 and 100%
