Priorities and funded actions

Objective

To create greater, combined impact from EIT Food portfolio of investments by targeting improvements in certain points of the food system.

Priorities

  • Priority 1: regenerative agriculture: enabling farmers to lead the transition to Net Zero
  • Priority 2: labelling, packaging and transparency: empowering people in their food choices
  • Priority 3: protein diversification: bringing protein diversification to the mainstream

Among financed actions

  • Existing research project teams who have a commercialisation or impact plan that needs follow-on funding to get to market
  • Develop and market new applications and business models for existing technology
  • Run market demonstration and scale-up activities for high impact products or services that already have promising results
  • Demonstrate and expand impact from existing innovative social enterprise, dietary health or education programmes and interventions leading to behaviour change or better consumer outcomes

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals.
  • Initial duration of the action: 18 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a public or private entity
  • Each participating organisation must have at least three years’ published accounts showing business activity
  • Be a consortium composed of at least two independent entities from two different eligible countries, representing at least two sides of the knowledge triangle, with at least one industry or social enterprise organisation
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 30 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: between 50.000 and 1 million euro
  • Co-financing rate: up to 70% of the total eligible costs
