Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To reduce pressure on the agri-food supply chain in the CEE region
  • To address the low investment in intellectual property in the CEEC agri-food sector
  • To correct the lack of intra- and inter-sectoral cooperation in the CEEC agri-food sector
  • To promote investment in sustainability within the CEEC agri-food sector

Priorities

  • Priority 1 – innovations and investments in sustainable biogas production
  • Priority 2 – precision farming, carbon farming, regenerative agriculture and other sustainable solutions and methods in the food systems.

Among financed actions

  • Actions implemented by consortia, which will link different sectors and strengthen cross-sectoral collaborations
  • Actions that can be applied universally and have a significant impact on the supply chain
  • Actions that can be applied universally and have a significant impact on the food supply chain within the selected industry or industries
  • Actions that encompass open standards, protocols, tools and technologies to promote collaboration and the potential for innovative solutions
  • Actions that will bring new products to market, introduce new and improved business processes and services
  • Actions that comply with the EIT Food branding guidelines
  • Actions that contribute to the achievement of the EIT Food missions:
    • Healthier lives through food
    • A net zero food system
    • A fully transparent, fair and resilient food system

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: up to 24 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legally incorporated entity in one of the EU or Horizon Europe eligible country listed above for a minimum of 3 years
  • Have at least 3 years’ published accounts showing business Activity
  • Provide a PIC Number
  • Tu be eligible consortia must have at least 3 eligible organisations committed to collaborating between 2 different eligible countries, representing at least two sides of the knowledge triangle, with at least one industry organisation
  • Each of the three organisations must be active participants in the consortium, showing a role, commiserate with the level of budget, and should not fall under the same ownership
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 1.5 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: up to 750.000 euro
  • Co-financing rate: up to 70% of the total eligible costs
