Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To promote excellence in teaching and research in the field of European Union studies worldwide and facilitate career development on EU studies for next generation
  • To foster dialogue between the academic world and society
  • To generate knowledge and insights in support of EU policymaking and strengthen the role of the EU within Europe and in a globalised world
  • To reach out to a wider public and spread knowledge about the EU to the wider society (beyond academia and specialised audiences), bringing the EU closer to the public
  • To strive to function as a vector for public diplomacy towards third countries not associated to the Programme

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a public or private entity
  • Be a higher education institution (HEI)
  • Be established in one of the EU Member State, third country associated to the Erasmus+ Programme or a third country not associated to the Erasmus+ Programme

    • 60.000 euro (Jean Monnet Chairs)
    • 100.000 euro (Jean Monnet Centres of Excellence)
  • Funding rate: up to 80% of the total eligible costs
