Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To reduce the risk of liver cancers associated with infections caused by the Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C viruses and the risk of gastric cancers caused by Helicobacter pylori.

Priorities 

  • Priority 1: to support vaccination in case of Hepatitis B virus;
  • Priority 2: drug treatment in case of Hepatitis C virus and Helicobacter pylori;
  • Priority 3: to early detect infections and to reduce the risk of liver and gastric cancer.

Among financed actions 

  • Actions targeted to support early identification of HBV and HCV asymptomatic infections, as well as early identification of Helicobacter pylori infections (symptomatic and asymptomatic);
  • Measures introduced to follow-up positive cases for HBV, HCV and Helicobacter pylori infections;
  • Dissemination activities.

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals.
  • Initial duration of the project: between 12 and 36 months.

Eligibility

  • Be a legal entity (public or private bodies) created under Union law or an international organisation.
Financement
  • Amount of the grant: 2 million euro
  • Co-financing rate: up to 80% of eligible costs
