Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To create, underpin and improve knowledge, products and technologies which can achieve significant effects in the area of defense;
  • To increase interoperability and resilience, including secured production of exchange of data, to master critical defence of technologies, to strengthen the security of supply or to enable the effective exploitation of results for defence products and technologies.

Priorities

  • Priority 1: Develop stand-off and/or remote detection and continuous monitoring for potential B threats;
  • Priority 2: Identify rare and unexpected pathogens or organisms that have been genetically modified;
  • Priority 3: Improve the capability of detecting low volatile C-agents;
  • Priority 4: Develop and refine systems that can determine location, yield and type of nuclear detonation.
  • Priority 5 :Generate knowledge, methods and technologies leading to improved capacities for sampling, detection, identification, characterisation and monitoring of CBRN threats and data management;
  • Priority 6: Map threats, vulnerabilities and capacities to respond at geographical levels and map strategic CBRN detection technologies and related production capacities in the union;
  • Priority 7: Enhance the sensitivity and selectivity of future detection devices to improve the quality of data from sensors;
  • Priority 8: Identify and characterize agents in complex bio-samples;
  • Priority 9: Incorporate novel technologies to generate new and improved DIM capabilities.

  • Technologies evaluations and demonstrations;
  • Relevant technologies maturation and development.

  • This call is an open call for proposals.

Eligibility

  • Be a legal entity;
  • Be established in a Member State or in an associated country;
  • Be independent from any third country.
Financement
  • Amount of the grant: 18.5 million euro
  • Co-financing rate: up to 90% of the total eligible costs
