Priorities and funded actions

Objective

  • To support the structuring of a limited number of civil society initiatives aimed at increasing the participation of CSOs in multi-stakeholder dialogue on public policies with a focus on priority sectors of cooperation with the EU.

Priorities

Priority 1 – Strengthening the technical and awareness-raising capacities of CSOs for effective dialogue/concertation with the administration and donors on the processes of elaboration, implementation, monitoring and monitoring and evaluation of public policies in the targeted sector.

Priority 2 – The facilitation of dialogue within Djibouti civil society, to respond to the multiple challenges of legitimacy of CSOs as governance actors.

Priority 3 – The consolidation of the structuring process of Djiboutian CSOs.

Among financed actions

  • Advocacy actions with state institutions and Djibouti’s partners at all levels
  • Facilitation of multi-stakeholder dialogue on the processes of elaboration, monitoring of the implementation and evaluation of public policies in the targeted themes
  • Actions of citizen accountability
  • Collective actions / synergies with other actors, in particular universities and think tanks
  • Actions to promote citizen participation in the management of public affairs
  • Actions of animation, mobilization, awareness and training

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated.
  • Initial duration of the action: between 16 and 18 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal entity
  • Be a non-profit organization
  • Be: A non-governmental organization or development association
  • Be incorporated and registered in the Republic of Djibouti, for at least 3 years
Financement
  • Amount of the grant: between 175,000 and 200,000 euro
  • Co-financing rate: up to 95% of the total eligible costs
