Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To improve the operational and institutional capacities of CSOs towards engaging in all aspects of the Green Deal
  • To support the active involvement and participation of CSOs, working in the thematic areas of the Green Deal, in decision-making processes

Priorities

  • Priority 1: to improve the organisational and implementation capacities of CSOs towards developing and piloting integrated and innovative solutions and actions on all aspects of the EU’s green deal
  • Priority 2: to foster partnerships with local and European actors as well as business community
  • Priority 3: to empower citizens/CSOs and improving the advocacy capacities of CSOs in areas of concern under the EU Green Deal

Among financed action

  • Actions towards nature protection and biodiversity (including agricultural biodiversity) conservation
  • Actions addressing protection of the marine ecosystem (including piloting actions for pollution prevention and decarbonisation in and/or around sensitive and fragile ecosystems and protected areas)
  • Actions addressing climate action (including both mitigation and adaptation with particular focus on Nature Based Solutions)
  • Actions towards dissemination and piloting of sustainable and smart agricultural practices including irrigation, sustainable food systems and sustainable food consumption

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated
  • Initial duration of the action: between 36 and 48 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a civil society organisation
  • Be established in a Member State of the EU or an eligible country according to Annex I of IPA III Regulation
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 5 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: between 400 000 and 600 000 euros
  • Co-financing rate: up to 95% of the total eligible costs
