Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To enhance the capacity and resilience of Armenian civil society organisations to be effective, trusted, sustainable and accountable independent actor and partner
  • To advance civil society and human rights priorities in Armenia with a particular focus on supporting civil society capacities to engage in policy processes, gather evidence, monitor reforms, implementing social services, supporting recovery and resilience, and become trusted partners that deliver to the communities they serve and represent

Priorities

  • Priority 1: gender equality and combating gender based violence and discrimination (Lot 1)
  • Priority 2: public budget oversight and advocacy (Lot 2)
  • Priority 3: youth empowerment and leadership development (Lot 3)
  • Priority 4: green and sustainable development in line with principles of the Green Deal (Lot 4)
  • Priority 5: community based social service delivery for reducing poverty, inequality and vulnerability in the region of Syunik. (Lot 5)

Among financed actions

  • Capacity building programs for all stakeholders to increase their gender-sensitivity and skills to address gender-based violence (Lot 1)
  • Creating a pool of specialised experts capacitated to engage in public expenditure tracking and budget monitoring (Lot 2)
  • Building on existing experience of teaching media literacy to young people application of learning by doing methodologies for raising media literacy of young people (Lot 3)
  • Awareness raising campaigns on principals of the EU Green deal, its goals, targets (Lot 4)
  • Assessment of local social service needs (Lot 5)

Additional information 

  • This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated
  • Initial duration of the action: between 36 and 47 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person and be non-profit-making
  • Be a non-governmental organisation
  • Be established in a Member State of the European Union or in Armenia or any other eligible country as stipulated in the basic act NDICI-GE
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 5.9 million euro
  • Amount of the grant:
    • Lot 1: up to 1 million euro
    • Lot 2: up to 700,000 euro
    • Lot 3: up to 1.2 million euro
    • Lot 4: up to 1.5 million euro
    • Lot 5: up to 1.5 million euro
    • between 700,000 and 1.5 million euro
  • Co-financing rate: between 60% and 90% of the total eligible costs of the action
