Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To strengthen the participatory democracy and the EU integration and approximation process in North Macedonia by empowering civil society to contribute actively in the decision-making and in improving the enabling environment for civil society work and freedom of expression
  • To strengthening of the civil society networking for all-inclusive creation of public policies and decision making as part of the EU accession

Priorities

  • Priority 1: EU accession and Civil Society Platforms for EU Dialogue

Sub-prioritiy 1: Development of CSOs’ sectorial networking mechanism

Sub-priority 2: Consultations between CSOs, state institutions and the European Commission

  • Priority 2: EU accession and Networking on freedom of expression, media and digital technologies

Sub-priority 1: Strengthening of media integrity, digital literacy and upholding journalism quality standards

Among financed actions

  • Policy monitoring and watchdog activities of CSOs,  provision of reports, studies, needs assessments
  • Cooperation with public bodies of relevance for the thematic areas in focus

Additional informations

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Inital duration of the action: between 24 and 36 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be non-profit-making
  • Be a civil society organisation or a representative network of CSOs
  • Be established in the Republic of North Macedonia at least two years before
  • Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies).
  • Actions must take place in the Republic of North Macedonia
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 1.6 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: between 200.000 and 350.000 euro
  • Co-financing rate: between 60% and 90% of the total eligible costs
