Objectives

  • To enable local CSOs to engage as actors of governance and development in their own right and support human rights defenders

Priorities

  • Priority 1: support youth organisation
  • Priority 2: disability
  • Priority 3: environnement
  • Priority 4: art and Culture
  • Priority 5: human Rights and Democracy
  • Priority 6: human Rights in the Mining Sector

Among financed actions

  • Sub-grant 80% of the total project budget to youth organisation to support environnement
  • Community sensitisation and empowerment on critical thinking and analysis of digital media
  • Legal assistance to media practitioners

Additionnal information

  • This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated
  • Initial duration of the action:
    • Between 36 and 48 months
    • Lot 1: between 24 and 36 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a public or private entity
  • Be non-profit-making and a civil society organisation
  • Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action, not acting as an intermediary
  • Be established in Rwanda where the action is taking place or be established in a Member State of the European Union
  • Be registered for at least two years at the time of the submission of an application

Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 5.1 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: between 600.000 and 1.25 million euro
  • Co-financing rate:  between 50% and 90% of the total eligible costs
